Vascular Surgery

RPH Vascular team 2021The Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) Vascular Service provides a specialist tertiary service, that specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of arterial, venous and lymphatic disease.

The service also offers a comprehensive range of open surgical operations, advanced endovascular techniques and up-to-date office-based venous ablative procedures.

Our department receives referrals from Perth public and private hospitals and is involved in any vascular injuries sustained by those patients admitted onto the State Major Trauma Unit at RPH. We work closely with a multitude of other clinical departments to provide a specialist tertiary service.

We are a tertiary referral centre for complex aortic, peripheral, renal access and carotid artery disease.

We are a leading unit in the management of diabetic patients with vascular disease and have a large multi-disciplinary team of surgeons, physicians and podiatrists who provide a multidisciplinary care for these patients and are committed to support our network hospitals diabetes services.

We also offer a multidisciplinary service in the management of deep venous disease and chronic venous insufficiency.

If you have problems associated with vascular disease, please see your General Practitioner.

For emergencies involving major trauma to the blood vessels or acute infection to your lower limbs (for example), please go to your nearest Emergency Department.
