Transport

Transport

From Saturday 4 April 2021, if you are visiting Royal Perth Hospital the Wellington Street entrance (where the Yellow CAT stops) will be temporarily closed to further reduce foot traffic through our hospital. If you intend to visit the hospital for treatment, to visit a patient or for work, please enter Royal Perth Hospital via the Victoria Square entrance (where the Red CAT stops) or from the Moore Street multi-storey car park.

There are a number of transport options for people to get to and from Royal Perth Hospital, with a range of convenient public transport facilities nearby.

Public transport

Timetables for buses and trains are available from stands in the Victoria Square entrance. Current bus and train timetables can be obtained from the Transperth Infoline on 13 62 13 or by visiting the Transperth website (external site).

Buses

There are bus stops directly on Wellington Street. Throughout January 2021 there will be service disruptions and stop closures to the RED CAT bus route, visit the Transperth website (external site) for the latest information.

Trains

The McIver Train Station provides direct access to the campus via the multi-storey car park in Moore Street (North Block).

Taxis

Taxis are available from a stand in Victoria Square, immediately outside the main hospital entrance. There is also a taxi stand on Lord Street, immediately outside the Emergency Department entrance.

There is an automatic taxi call telephone just inside the entrance if there are no taxis in the rank. If you need to call for a taxi, public telephones are located on Level 3, South Block.

Voluntary patient transport

Patients wanting information about the voluntary transport program should contact the volunteers on (08) 9224 2054.
