Parking

Parking

Parking is available to visitors and patients on and near to the Royal Perth Hospital site. When attending the hospital to visit a loved one or attend an appointment, please allow additional time for parking, as during peak periods, car parking lots often reach capacity. The hospital is well serviced by public transport and where possible, visitors to Royal Perth Hospital are encouraged to utilise these services.

Please see below a list of locations where paid parking is available:

  • Royal Perth hospital multi-storey car park on Moore Street, off Lord Street. Open 24 hours.
  • Firestation – 1 Murray Street and Hay Street. Open 24 hours.
  • Pier Street – 87-89 Pier Street. 681+ parking bays. Open until midnight.
  • Goderich Street – 133 Goderich Street. Open until midnight.
  • Hay Street East – 262 Hay Street. Operates 24 hours / 7 days a week.

Meter and/or ticket parking is available on Murray Street, Victoria Square, Goderich Street, Lord Street and Wellington Street. As time limits apply and some areas are Clearways, please read the posted signs carefully.

Visit City of Perth Parking (external site) for more information.

For emergencies

Limited free short-term parking is available near the entrance to the Emergency Department. Parking here is always in high demand. Please read the signs carefully.

Access to Disability (ACROD) Bays

Parking bays reserved for persons with ACROD permits are available at the following parking lots:

  • 13 x ACROD bays – Royal Perth Hospital multi-storey
  • 3 x ACROD bays – Firestation Carpark (Murray Street)
  • 8 x ACROD bays – Pier Street Carpark
  • 14 x ACROD bays – Goderich Street
  • 2 x ACROD bays – 262 Hay Street Carpark

Please note, if you or your loved one requires an ACROD bay and upon presenting to the Royal Perth Hospital multi-storey carpark find that it is full, please alert our carparking attendants and they will gladly assist you in accessing a suitable parking bay.

Access to Goderich Street – O Block (Outpatients)

For patients attending the Goderich Street Outpatient Clinic, there are limited bays on Goderich Street, adjacent to O Block.

Alternatively, patients and visitors can park in the other locations listed above. Please note, patients and visitors can walk through the hospital to get from the Royal Perth Hospital multi-storey carpark to O Block.

Subsidised parking

Patients who are required to attend Royal Perth Hospital over a prolonged period of time and have explored all alternate means of transport, may be assessed for eligibility for subsidised parking. Patients approved for the subsidy will receive discounted parking.

For more information on subsidised parking, patients can ask their treating team to arrange a visit from the ward-based social worker or visit the Social Work Department at the Victoria Square entrance.
