Together with the State Trauma Office, Royal Perth Hospital and St Johns Ambulance we are excited to invite you to join us for the Western Australia State Trauma Conference 2025.
This premier annual conference brings together healthcare professionals from across the state, including surgeons, Physicians, Prehospital Care Providers, Nurses, Allied Health Professionals and others that care for injured patients in Western Australia.
The conference will feature expert presentations from local, national and international visitors, panel discussions and interactive workshops as well as free papers showcasing current research.

Guidelines for Abstract
- Abstracts must not exceed 250 words
- All abstracts must be typed, single spaced with a clear typeface.
- Title should be in capitals, underlined and placed at the top of the abstract.
- Author's name should be in capitals, with the name of the presenter indicated by and asterisk (*).
- Degrees and positions in departments should not be included, but the origin of the work should be stated.
- The abstract must be clear and brief Statements should, in general, be impersonal and the first person "I" and "We" avoided.
- The abstracts will be presented at the conference as a Power Point presentation.

Submission Details
- Submission to angela.d'castro@health.wa.gov.au by 31 March 2025.
- PC projection (MS Power Point or Mac Keynote) will be available, and presentations will be accepted on USB Mass Storage Device.
- If you have video content inserted into your presentation, please ensure that you supply all files, and it is advisable to test your presentation in advance.

Dr. Andre Campbell is a renowned surgeon, educator, and leader in trauma and surgical critical care, serving over 30 years at UCSF and San Francisco General Hospital. A Harvard and UCSF graduate, he has trained countless fellows, authored over 100 publications, and held key roles in national surgical organizations. Widely recognized for his contributions to surgical education, he has received numerous accolades, including the establishment of the Dr. Andre Campbell Award for Career Achievement and the 2025 Association of Surgical Education Distinguished Educator Award. His impact on trauma care, medical education, and health equity has been honoured at local, state, and national levels. | |

Prof Fatovich is a senior emergency physician and clinical researcher at Royal Perth Hospital Emergency Department, with over 30 years’ experience in the conduct of research in Emergency Medicine. He is Head of the Centre for Clinical Research in Emergency Medicine, Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research; Director of Research for East Metropolitan Health Service; and Professor of Emergency Medicine, University of Western Australia. |
