Education Centre

The Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) Education Centre is responsible for four key areas that are aligned with the hospital's strategic goals. These areas consist of:

  1. Integrating an evidence-based practice approach into the provision of nursing practice
  2. supporting continuous quality improvement in the delivery of nursing practice through a dynamic clinical audit program
  3. providing effective education and training for RPH staff
  4. facilitating and coordinating research development.

The predominant responsibility and focus of the department is to support nursing education However, the Education Centre is embracing a collaborative, inter-professional approach to education through active dialogue and participation with key stakeholders in Medicine, Allied Health and Corporate Services.

  6. Professional Development and Continuing Education
  7. Safe Handling
  8. Resuscitation and Simulation and Medical Emergency Team (MET) Training
  9. Management of Aggression training
  10. Nursing Research
  11. Postgraduate Studies (in collaboration with Curtin University)
