Breast Clinic

The Breast Clinic is part of the multidisciplinary breast service, which provides an integrated service for the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. The two major functions of the Breast Clinic are the diagnosis of breast problems and the surgical management of breast disease.

For diagnosis, we receive referrals from specialists, GPs and BreastScreen WA. We use a multidisciplinary approach comprising clinical assessment by breast physicians combined with imaging and pathology.

Patients diagnosed with breast cancer can be seen by a surgeon in the clinic.

We also make referrals to Radiation Oncologists, Medical Oncologists and Plastic Surgeons as appropriate.

Physiotherapists, psychologists and a social worker are available to provide specialist services and support for patients and their families.

If you require assistance after-hours, please contact your GP or visit your closest Emergency Department.

Any messages left after-hours on the Breast Clinic answering machine will be attended to the next working day.
