Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (Ahpra) registration renewal process for nurses and midwives
Nurses and midwives must renew their registration by 31 May every year. To find out more about registration as a nurse or midwife please visit Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia - Registration and endorsement
The process for renewal is via the online portal with multifactor for extra security. You will need to set up an Ahpra portal with multifactor authentication before you can renew your registration.
National support service for nurses and midwives
Funded by the Commonwealth Government, the nurse midwife health program provides peer-to-peer counselling for nurses, midwives and students of the professions. This free program provides confidential, independent support delivered by experienced nurses and midwives.
The program is designed and delivered by experienced nurses and midwives, offering support grounded in both professional expertise and real-life understanding of the pressures of the job.
The program is confidential, independent and free. They are available across Australia, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (local time), excluding public holidays.
