Continence service

Incontinence is the involuntary loss of bladder or bowel control. It is a common condition, affecting up to four million Australians, and does not discriminate between age groups or socio-economic status. Incontinence impacts significantly on the quality of life of those experiencing it as well as their carers. It is important to remember that incontinence can be treated, effectively managed and often cured.

Our service is managed by a Clinical Nurse Consultant in conjunction with a Clinical Nurse. Staff members are trained in this specialty and provide both inpatient and outpatient services.

The Continence Nurse Advisors are available for inpatient consultations for bladder and bowel dysfunction as well as incontinence-associated skin conditions.
