Where to get a yellow fever vaccination
Yellow fever vaccinations can only be administered at approved WA Health Yellow Fever Vaccination Centres (PDF 780KB).
These clinics will provide a vaccination certificate in the form approved by the World Health Organisation (WHO), and completed according to WHO requirements.
Travellers should seek medical advice on vaccination for their individual medical circumstances, particularly about the suitability of yellow fever vaccine for infants, pregnant women and those who are immunocompromised.

Become an approved vaccination centre and accredited providers
Only approved yellow fever vaccination clinics are issued with a unique Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre number by the WA Department of Health, which authorises the purchase and provision of yellow fever vaccination.
To become a Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre:
- Read and review The National Guidelines for Yellow Fever Vaccination Centres and Providers (external site)
- Register and complete the yellow fever vaccination course.
From 1 October 2024, the Yellow Fever Vaccination Learning and Accreditation Course will be hosted by the interim Australian Communicable Disease Control on the MACLearning platform . Any questions regarding the training can be sent to YellowFeverCourse@health.gov.au.
Users who previously completed the course on the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) website, will still be able to log in to the ACCRM site to download their course completion certificate. However, after 30 September 2024, the Course itself will no longer be hosted on the ACRRM website. Completion certificates awarded by ACRRM remain valid until the expiry date specified on the certificate.
- Complete Attachment A: Application for a Medical Practice to become an Approved Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre (pages 12-14) and Attachment B: Conditions Applying to an Approved Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre (pages 15-17) of the National Guidelines (external site).
- Send completed forms to vaccineorders@health.wa.gov.au and await confirmation.
Yellow fever booklets can only be ordered by WA Health approved centres, either locally from Equip Health Systems Pty Ltd (external site)by emailing admin@equip.com.au, or from Sanofi by emailing yf-travel.au@sanofi.com. The World Health Organisation (external site) also have the booklets but to order you will need an account. You will need to provide your yellow fever stamp prior to ordering.
Requirements to remain an approved yellow fever vaccination centre
Approved yellow fever vaccination centres must:
- Comply with The National Guidelines for Yellow Fever Vaccination Centres and Providers (external site)
- Ensure that all providers are accredited to administer the yellow fever vaccine by completing the Yellow Fever Vaccination Learning and Accreditation Course, then subsequently every three years. Once accredited, a provider can administer the yellow fever vaccine for a period of not more than three years from the date of completion of the training course. The course completion certificate is required by the approved Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre where the provider intends to practice.
