RPBG 2017 Nursing Awards
The 2017 Royal Perth Bentley Group Nursing Awards were held this week to celebrate the exceptional work of nurses at Royal Perth Hospital and Bentley Health Service.
Director of Nursing, Maha Rajagopal said the awards were a reflection of the hard work and dedication towards patient care our nurses demonstrate on a daily basis.
“The winners of this year’s awards should be very proud of themselves for all that they have achieved.”
Congratulations to all of the award winners:
Nursing Fellowship Award: a scholarship for nurses to undertake further study or research projects.
Tom Sten Award: recognises an outstanding contribution made to patient care by an enrolled nurse.
- Winner: Sally Pain
- Finalists: Helen Cooper, Leonie Nield and Angela O'Bright
Graduate Award: recognises exceptional performance by first and second year nurses.
- Winners: Michael Collins and Sophie Retallack
SWEETest Nurse of the Year (Supportive Work Environment, Education and Training): encourages and promotes initiatives and programs that support staff members.
- Winner: Jane Hodgson
- Finalists: Ann Rodrigues, Barri Lythe, Caroline Freeman, Farah Hussenbocus, Gemma Easthope, Jinesh Kunhangadan Kunhikannan, Sally Pain, Sarah Goddard, Leonie Nield and Tracey Ladd
